About

I’m Kelly Totman, the owner of Blue Heaven Photography. Born and raised in Quincy, I have settled down with my husband and beautiful children in Middleboro. From a very young age, I loved pictures, taking them, being in them, and everything about a camera. My very first picture I took on my own (below) was of my father and late mother when I was 4 years old. Into my teenage years, I brought a camera with me everywhere I went, endlessly snapping pictures of family gatherings, friend outings, and vacations. Only months after my daughter was born and my mother passed away, photos which were always important to me, took on a whole new meaning. I now cherished each image, aside from memories, it was all I had left of my Mum. With a new born daughter growing as well, I felt an undeniable urge to take the best quality pictures I could so that I would be able to capture memories in the moment, to preserve forever. It was then that my photography journey began to chart its real course. I dove in head first, invested in a quality camera, countless accessories, in class training, real life portfolio building, specialty online courses. I never knew the wonder behind a technically captured photograph, and it continues to fascinate me.

When I’m not behind a camera, you can find me at the beach in the summer, and playing in the snow in the winter. A true New-Englander through and through, I genuinely love every season and what it offers. I love spending time with my family and friends, gardening, Disney, and working on my other small business of home decor. I appreciate the gift of life and try to live it to the fullest.

When I photograph a session, I’m not looking to “just take a picture”, I’m looking to capture that moment and the feelings surrounding it. When you look back, you can smell the ocean, hear the waves, and feel the sun, of course, if you’re on the beach for your session that is. :)
